    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 11TH 2005 -
    St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas has been brought up to date on the preparations for the 12th Annual Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference.
    Prime Minister Douglas was briefed by the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Ms. Christine Walwyn, who informed him of the plans for the official Opening Ceremony, the topics for discussions, the participants and the various events which will enable the local stakeholders to benefit from the hosting of such a Conference.
     
    St. Kitts and Nevis will make history as it will become not only the first country in the OECS, but also the smallest nation to host an FCCA Conference.
     
    The September 27th to 30th conference is expected to attract over 1200 delegates including the top 100 cruise industry executives, ministers of tourism, investors, shipping agents and tour operators.
