BRONTE WELSH PRIMARY WINS PRIMARY SCHOOL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP….The best, high-scoring team in the 2014 St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Primary School Football League Bronte Welsh Primary was crowned champions on Saturday 29th November in front of a packed Warner Park Football Stadium. The Boyd’s based outfit took little time to put 5 goals pass defending champions Tyrell-Williams Primary in game2 of the best of 3 finals.
The title was the first captured by the Bronte Welsh Primary in its history as they comfortably dethroned Tyrell-Williams Primary 5nil. Omarion Rawlins’ hat-trick, N’ Shande Hughes’ strike and an own goal were enough to help Bronte Welsh to victory.
Jeffrey-Hazel-Acting Director of Sports expressed sincerest gratitude to the Ministries of Sports and Education, the Board of Directors and Staff of the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, the SKNFA as well as the many volunteers and supporters for their investment in the Department of Sports programs used to develop our nation’s future sports ambassadors. In congratulating both schools Hazel said “Bronte Welsh were worthy winners having produced some of the best youth football and in the process going undefeated. I want also to congratulate Tyrell-Williams Primary for displaying good football as well even when their backs were against the wall. You must be proud of yourselves for winning the last two (2) championships and reaching to the last three (3) finals.
Minister of Youth Empowerment and Sports Hon. Glenn Phillip and Virgil Hodge –Deputy Sports Director shared presentation ceremony held immediately after the final whistle.

Cayon Primary demolished BHs in Under 14 match
Devion Hodge’s hat-trick with two (2) goals from Livity Pemberton and one each from Javern Matthew and Deonte Liburd enabled Cayon High to a 7-3 victory over BHS in an Under 14 High Football match. Kevon Wallace had a hat-trick for BHS.
Basseterre High School and Saddlers Secondary to clash in Open Football Championship
Basseterre High School Geovannie Lake’s hat-trick secured a final spot for his team when they defeated Washington Archibald High 3-2 in a semi final match for the open championship. Kenroy Hodge and Marvin Rawlins scored the goals for Washington Archibald High.
Saddlers Secondary clinch a final place spot when they won 3-1 on penalties over Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College. At the end of regulation time the score was leveled 2-2. Trevor Hanley and Kadeem Cooper scored for Saddlers Secondary while Hasani Flemming and Raheem Francis for CFBC. The finals on Tuesday 2nd December will see BHS versus Saddlers Secondary at Warner Park at 3pm.
