By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE twin-island Federation has recorded its 23rd homicide for the year with the stabbing death of Pabel Santana of Stoney Grove, Nevis.

Santana, according to a police release, was allegedly stabbed by Alexander Diaz of the Dominican Republic whose last known address was Bath Village, Nevis.

Police had issued a wanted bulletin for Diaz on Wednesday (Dec. 24), but since then the 24-year-old continues to stay one step ahead of the police who are trying to track him down.

In that bulletin, police stated that Diaz was a person of interest wanted for questioning in an incident that occurred on Sunday (Dec. 21) at Enrigue Bar in Charlestown, Nevis, where three persons were injured.

Santana, who was one of the three victims, succumbed to his injuries yesterday (Dec. 27) at the Alexandra Hospital where he was warded since the incident occurred.

Diaz is five feet eight inches in height, fair in complexion with black hair and brown eyes and weighs 150 pounds.

The public is hereby warned that anyone who harbours or helps Diaz to evade the police would be committing an offence and would be arrested and charged.

The police are therefore seeking the public’s assistance in his capture and are asking that anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Violent Crime Unit on St. Kitts at 467-1886/1888 or 662-9336 or the nearest police station, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
