Police on St. Thomas Still Looking for Missing People

    St. Thomas, USVI - -St. Thomas/St. John/Water Island Police Chief Rodney F. Querrard, Sr. is asking the community’s assistance to find four persons who were reported missing by family over the past year.

     

    Gerard Arthur Nicholas and Penny Louise January were reported missing in May of 2008 after disappearing from Estate Bordeaux, St. Thomas. They were last seen heading to Botany Bay on May 2nd. Police confirmed that Nicholas informed a neighbor he was taking January to see the ocean before she returned to the U.S. mainland.

     

    Karen Wetzl was reported missing by her father on January 16, 2009 after she failed to call or make contact with her family since November of 2008. She was last seen on St. Thomas by friends sometime before Thanksgiving.

     

    Canute Joseph was reported missing by a family member on February 19, 2009 after he failed to make contact with family members since October of 2008. He was last seen on St. Thomas in October 2008 by friends.

     

    Chief Querrard is asking anyone in the community who knows the whereabouts of these individuals, or who may know someone who knows of their whereabouts to call his office at 340-715-5548. Residents can call police emergency 911 from a land line or 776-9110 from a cell phone. You can also call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
