PM Douglas crowns Tishima Browne, Ms. St. Kitts and King Astro, Monarch

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, DECEMBER 30TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas carried out prime ministerial duties crowning the new Ms. St. Kitts and the Calypso Monarch.

     

    Sunday night before a massive crowd, the St. Kitts and Nevis leader crowned the Miss National Bank representative, Tishima Browne, the 2014/15 National Carnival Queen.

     

    The St. Peter’s beauty, who also won the Interview and Talent segments scored a total of 721.5 points among the judges in the various categories.

     

    First Runner went to Miss Carib Brewery, Akiesha Fergus, the reigning Ms Culture of Nevis, who received 676 points and who won the National Pride segment.

     

    Ms. LIME, Jackiema Flemming is the Second Runner-Up with 672 points and winner of the Best Swimwear and Best Evening Wear segments. She also received the Chairman’s and Ms. Photogenic awards.

     

    Shaneil Francis, Miss Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis won Miss Amity and the People’s Choice Award and Miss Amity.

     

    In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Douglas crowned Nevisian Astro, Calypso Monarch 2014/15, who received the judges’ nod with 802 points to snatch the title from last year’s king, Richie Buntin.

     

    Lady Diva was adjudged First Runner-up with 787 points; Second Runner-up Socrates with 479 and the - Third Runner-up position went to Queenie G with 478 points.
