Montego Bay, JA: Jamaica Music Ambassador Richie Stephens continues to make strides internationally with the success of his hot new dance/single 'Everybody Dance,' which had its world premier last November on worldstarhiphop.com

With the 19th annual Jamaica Jazz & Blues festival just weeks away, event producers Art of Music not just confirmed the “Live Your Life’ singer as a performer at the festival but announced plans for a Skatech Dance competition that will allow dance groups the opportunity to compete for a chance to perform the ‘Everybody Dance’ routine on the big stage of the festival.

“Skateck is the hottest new dance craze in Jamaica right now and it is making inroads internationally in France, Portugal, Germany, Japan, the USA and parts of the Caribbean. I am excited that Walter Elmore and his team decided to put together the ‘Skateck’ competition that will give a dance group the opportunity to perform on one of the biggest festivals in the world” the singer said.

Dance groups are being asked to submit a video by January 10th of them doing the Skateck dance routine for Stephens’ song Everybody Dance. Ten groups will be selected to compete in the finals on January 17. Video entries should be submitted to skateck@jamaicajazzandblues.com by January 10 to be considered. The winner will get the opportunity to perform the routine with Stephens on the big stage of the Jamaica Jazz & Blues festival on Friday, January 30 at the Trelawny Multiplex Stadium.

“I am encouraging dance groups to watch the video online and learn the entire routine” Stephens noted.

Confirmed acts for the 2015 Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival set for January 29-31 in Falmouth, Jamaica are multiple Grammy winner Mariah Carey, Magic, SoJa and Morgan Heritage.
