BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have made a breakthrough in their investigations surrounding the December 30, 2014 shooting-death of Devon Ryan.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd today (Jan. 7) revealed to this publication that Clifton Bedford of Stapleton Housing Project was arrested and charged with the murder of Ryan and remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison.

Ryan, who was residing in McKnight at the time of the incident, was gunned down execution-style with bullet(s) to the head in the vicinity of the Basseterre Ferry Terminal.

On December 31 one man was in custody assisting police with their investigations into the matter while another man was being sought.

Ryan was the brother of 34-year-old Kenya Francis-Mitcham of Shaw Avenue, who was found dead by officers of the Royal Anguilla Police Force in a residential apartment in South Hill, Anguilla at about 8:45 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014.

Francis-Mitcham was laid to rest on Monday (Jan. 5) amidst controversy, when a gang feud broke out during his funeral procession just mere steps away from the Basseterre Police Station on Cayon Street.
