CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE fourth man fingered in the Monday, October 6, 2014 burglary and armed robbery at the Stoney Grove residence of St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force Reservist Glendon Fordyce was arrested and charged for the offence.

SKNVibes was reliably informed that Javier Wilkinson of Cotton Ground was arrested and charged on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 for allegedly burglarising Fordyce’s home.

He was remanded during the Christmas season and had appeared at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday (Jan. 6) before Her Worship Jasmine Clarke.

Represented by Attorney-at-Law Mickia Mills, Wilkinson was granted pre-trial liberty to the tune of $25 000 with two sureties, which were not objected to by Police prosecutor Inspector Stephen Hector but who requested to Court to enforce three conditions.

He requested that Wilkinson in no way should interfere with the complainant, that a curfew be imposed on him and that he should regularly report to the police. The Magistrate however ordered that he report trice weekly - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday - to the Cotton Ground Police Station.

Fordyce had reported to police that in the wee hours of Monday, October 6 last year, three men had entered his home, while a fourth man was outside as a lookout, and had robbed him of a quantity of gold jewellery, cash and a large quantity of alcoholic beverages.

He claimed that the men were Omar Walters, Germaine Wilkerson, Sheriff Williams and Wilkinson, all of whom reside at Cotton Ground.

Consequently, police apprehended three of them the day after the alleged incident and they were later charged with Burglary. However, Wilkinson was not among the trio. They subsequently appeared before Magistrate Clarke on Thursday (Oct. 9) and were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

According to reports, the trio were granted bail sometime later.

The Army Reservist claimed that on the morning of the incident, he had positively identified Wilkinson when he had removed a kerchief under which his face was concealed.

He also claimed that during the burglary and armed robbery, Wilkinson had placed a firearm to his head and threatened to kill him if the matter were reported to the police.

Fordyce reported that after the men had bound his hands and feet, tied his mouth, robbed him of a gold ring, a gold identification band and US$960, they raided his refrigerator and carted off more than 36 bottles of Heineken, Carib and Stag Beers, a quantity of Guinness, two bottles of wine and a bottle of Champagne.

However, while they were removing the items from his refrigerator, Fordyce alleged that Wilkinson had removed the kerchief that concealed part of his face to consume a beer, and that is when he had recognised him.
