St. Kitts and Nevis to host RSS Council of Ministers meeting

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MARCH 26TH 2009 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis will host a meeting of the Regional Security System (RSS) Council of Ministers next month.
     
    The Barbados-based RSS Director of Plans, Intelligence and Law Enforcement for Regional Security Co-ordinator, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ian Queeley said the meeting will be held on Friday 3rd April at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort at Frigate Bay.
     
    The Council of Ministers is the supreme policy making body of the Regional Security System (RSS) and comprises Ministers of Defence and Security in the member states of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
     
    St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas assumes the chairmanship of the Council of Ministers on April 1st and will chair the meeting.
