BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE shooting incident that occurred last night (Feb. 3) in Sandy Point has left one man dead and another nursing bullet wound(s) at the JNF Hospital.
Dead is 26 year-old Kevin ‘Judgment’ Francis who, for two days prior to his demise, was residing in Sandy Point but was originally from Parsons Village, and the wounded man’s name was given as 21-year-old Brian Wilkinson of Cleverly Hill.
According to a police communiqué, the two men were walking along an alley east of the Wesleyan Holiness Church at about 8:15 p.m. when they were attacked by armed, masked assailants.
The communiqué stated that Francis succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crime and the wounded Wilkinson was transported to the JNF Hospital, where he was treated and is currently warded.
It also stated that following initial investigations by the Violent Crime Unit, “four persons are in custody assisting with the investigation”.
The police are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Francis’ death has taken the number of homicides committed in the Federation for the year to five; three on St. Kitts and two on Nevis.
