BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A female was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital yesterday afternoon (Feb. 8) after she was injured during the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s motorcade while in Sandy Point.
Details of the incident remain sketchy at this time, but Public Relations Officer for the Royal St. Kitts and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David confirmed that the woman was injured and informed that officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are making investigations into the incident.
Initially, SKNVibes had received reports which suggested that the lady might have been struck by a motorcycle.
Inspector David however said he was unable to establish the circumstances outlined to him by this publication, but he indicated that the police are making an attempt to “get the facts together”.
He promised that more information would be provided as soon as it becomes available.
