“On behalf of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), I am pleased to extend warmest congratulations to the People and Government of Grenada on the celebration of the Forty-First Anniversary of its Independence.

Grenada’s resilience as a nation has been tested but the fortitude of the    people has ensured that the country remains on a course of sustained development.

This year’s theme, “Moving Forward in Unity to Build a Stronger Nation” also resonates with our integration process.  This is not surprising given Grenada’s long history of involvement in building a stronger and more unified region.  Prime Minister, that tradition has been maintained as demonstrated by your dynamic leadership role in promoting the development of the Regional ICT sector.

Honourable Prime Minister, the Caribbean Community is pleased to join you and the people of your nation in celebrating forty-one years of independence, and we heartily extend best wishes for the continued progress and growth of Grenada.”
