TRACTORCADE ready to roll in celebration of our local farmers!!

By: SPIRIT, Press Release

Sandy Point, St. Kitts and Nevis (February 19, 2015) -- Black San’ Bang-A-Lang 2015 is less than 40 days away and this year’s theme '5Star Fete' is already making the rounds as Sandy Point prepares to host its fifth annual community festival.

The 2015 festival is set to run from March 27th to April 12th and is packed with the signature events that Black San’ has become known for, as well as new events to excite and include all! The streets comes alive on March 27th with Tractors pulling carts displaying animals & farm produce, along with revelers creatively dressed in farm wear in promotion of the buying and eating of local produce.

“As part of the mandate of our Agriculture and Environmental Conservation pillar it is our duty to continue to highlight the importance of our local farmers not only to our economy but the health of our society. TRACTOR-CADE is indeed a unique way of celebrating the invaluable service that our farmers continue to give to our nation and for that reason we look forward to increased participation from the Ministry of Agriculture and encourage all Schools to get the young students involved" said Randy Desuza- Marketing Member.

The young festival has become a fixture on the national calendar of events, and with this year’s minor, yet significant tweaks to the festival geared towards engaging community participation, organizers have promised a real blast! Continuing its partnership with the festival for a second year 'Jiggy Wine' a local drink made of 100% all natural ingredients and produced out of the town of Sandy Point has been dubbed the official drink of TRACTORCADE 2015.

‘’We are just over a month away from the start of the festival and the excitement level has already began to make its climb! We begin hosting our weekend events dubbed ‘Proper Fix Up’ with our customary strong feature of local bands, Djs and artistes and we are hoping that the energy would carry over to the 'Opening Street Fete' at The Ghaut, a never before tried venue, and right down to the Last Lap” Desuza said.
