Road Town, Tortola, BVI - The ‘Ready Committee’ a Youth Group associated with the Opposition Virgin Islands Party (VIP) is proud to invite the public to their first fundraiser on Saturday February 28, 2015. Come out and get to know the ‘Ready Committee’ as you get your car washed and enjoy some good music.

The ‘Ready Committee’ encourages persons to bring the whole family out on this day as there will be entertainment for all ages. You can look forward to a bouncy fun house for the kids, local food for sale, a dunk tank and much more fun. This event will be held in the CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank parking lot in Road Town from 10 AM- 6 PM.

In an effort to encourage young persons to have an active role in determining their future, voter registration will also be available this day. The members of the ‘Ready Committee’ ask that persons use this opportunity to find out more about the organisation including how to join.

President of the ‘Ready Committee’ Rajah A. Smith encourages all to bring along the entire family “as it’s going to be a family filled event and at the same time you can have your car washed.” Mr. Smith said tickets are still available for the car wash portion and cars are $20.00 and SUV are $25.00.

The group is named ‘Ready Committee’ because they are ready to rally in the support of the VIP. The goal of this organization is to raise the issues that face young people of the Virgin Islands directly such as jobs, education, crime, and entrepreneurship.

For more information members of the public can call President Smith at 340-1546 or the Public Relations Officer Aashaud D. L Lewis at 542-5467.
