Basseterre, March 4th, 2015 -- CenPOS Limited in collaboration with the St. Kitts Department of Sport will host the 2nd Annual Private Primary Schools Championships on Tuesday, March 10th. Admission is free.
The event takes place at the Silver Jubilee Stadium, in two sessions running from 9am until 12noon and from 2pm until all events and festivities are completed. The five participating schools are the George Moody Stuart School, the Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School, the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, the St. Kitts International (SKI) Academy and the defending champions, the Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
Gary Smith, Sales Executive at CenPOS, expressed satisfaction at the increased number of participating schools and the enthusiasm for the meet displayed by parents, teachers and athletes. He assured that a committee assisted by officials from the Department of Sport and other support mechanisms will be deployed to ensure the safety and greater success of this year's meet.
Mr. Smith emphasized that providing the students with the opportunity to display their talents was the priority of all stakeholders and commented that the inclusion of the iREP My School Talent Competition would further showcase students' abilities.
