    Taiwan-St.Kitts-Nevis Flags
    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 26TH 2005  A red carpet welcome and a Guard of Honour await the President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), His Excellency Chen Shui-bian, when he begins a State Visit to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday.
    The Presidential 747 aircraft, lands at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport  shortly after 1:00 P.M with the distinguished visitor, his first visit to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The Welcome Ceremony at the Airport will therefore start at 1:30 instead of 4:30 P.M. due to the early arrival of President Chen.
     
    President Chen will be met at the steps of the aircraft by Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas and escorted to the Saluting Dias. The St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force Band will play the National Anthems of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
     
    President Chen will be then invited to inspect the Guard of Honour drawn up by members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. President Chen will be accompanied by Prime Minister Douglas.
     
    The St. Kitts and Nevis leader will deliver Welcome Remarks, to which President Chen will respond.
     
    Dr. Douglas will introduce members of his Cabinet to President Chen, who in turn will present top officials of his delegation to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.
     
    Following the Departure Salute, President Chen and his motorcade will later travel to Government House, where he will pay a courtesy call on the Governor General, His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian. Following that, the visiting Taiwanese leader will travel to Government Headquarters and pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Douglas and finalise the communiqué to be signed by both leaders on Brimstone Hill on Wednesday morning.
     
    Governor General Sebastian will later invest President Chen with the Order of St. Christopher and Nevis during a Ceremony and host a State Dinner in President Chens honour at Government House.
