BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TEAM St. Kitts and Nevis finished sixth last evening (May 2) in the 4x100m at the second IAAF Wold Relays in the Bahamas.
St. Kitts and Nevis was represented by the quartet of Jason Rogers, Antoine Adams, Lestrod Roland and Brijesh Lawrence, who ran in lane two, had put in a commendable performance clocking 38.85 seconds.
The race was eventually won by the USA, which upset team Jamaican that featured World Record holder Usain Bolt, who could not chase down the American anchor Ryan Bailey who got an early advantage from the likes of Justin Gatlin and Tyson Gay.
Earlier in the day, St. Kitts and Nevis finished in third place in their heat, finishing behind Trinidad and Tobago and France.
The Federation's performance means that they have earned qualification for this year's World Championships in Beijing and next year's Rio Olympics.
The St. Kitts and Nevis athletes will be in action this evening at 7:00 p.m. for the 4x200m; an event in which they won silver in 2014.
