Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 02, 2015 (SKNIS): On behalf of the country and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has conveyed expressions of condolences to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden Jr. on the passing of his son Joseph “Beau” Biden III.
In a letter to be forwarded to Vice President Biden via the U.S. Embassy based in Barbados, Prime Minister Harris noted that no parent anticipates the passing of a child, particularly one who had accomplished much, and established himself as an upright American citizen during his 46 years.
“Our heartfelt prayers are with you at this time,” Prime Minister Harris wrote in his letter. “Your son has been a joy to you during his time here with us, let the pleasant memories sustain you and your family during this time of grief. May God's peace be with you during this challenging period.”
