Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 27, 2005) - The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) began their 2005 annual Caribbean Cruise Conference & Trade Show in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis which will run from September 27 - 30 2005. The conference was highlighted with a trade show grand opening on Tuesday, September 27th at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
Present at the Trade Show was St. Kitts Minister of Tourism Hon. Ricky Skerritt who voiced his pleasure on having the FCCA hold their annual conference here in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis We are happy to have the FCCA hold their conference here &&& and we hope that everyone enjoys and take in all that they see and learn he said. The Minister also apologized for the absence of the Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas who had to be elsewhere with the President of the Republic of China and Taiwan His Excellency Chen Shui-Bian.
After the remarks from Minister Skerritt everyone present was invited to enjoy the trade show which is a premier industry event to meet with key players and analyze industry trends, because of the unique forum presented by the Conference over 800 cruise industry partners and nearly 100 cruise executives attend each year this year being no different, a good start seeing as St. Kitts is the first Eastern Caribbean State to host this Conference.
Students of schools from around the Federation where also present at this the largest conference ever to be hosted by the Federation. The conference will continue over the course of the week with many workshops and trade shows.
