BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A St. Peters resident was involved in a one-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon (Jun. 2), which resulted in his vehicle ending up in a ghaut and he had to be taken to a medical facility.
SKNVibes understands that at about 3:40 p.m., Clifton Logan was operating his vehicle (PA8980) travelling from the western side of the country towards Basseterre’s direction when he encountered difficulty.
Information received by this publication suggests that while in the Franklands area, Logan “picked up a skid” which led to him losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle then collided with a wall on the seaside of the Island’s Main Road before depositing in a nearby ghaut.
Logan, who reportedly complained of pains to his chest right side, was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by a private vehicle.
SKNVibes is unaware whether he was warded or subsequently released from the hospital.
His vehicle was extensively damaged and police officers stationed at the Old Road Police Station had sometime after visited the scene and began inquiries into the matter.
Motorists are asked to remember and adhere to the principles of road safety when operating their vehicles.
