BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A female employee of a golf club in Frigate Bay had gone missing while conducting her chores this morning (Jun. 8) and a professional diver is currently searching a pond on the golf course, as it is suspected that she might have encountered some difficulty and fell into it.
According to information reaching this publication, the woman, who resides in St. Paul’s Village, was this morning working along with a male employee but in two different areas on the golf course.
She was reportedly operating a motor-driven lawnmower and, during the course of performing their respective chores, they had lost contact with each other. Consequently, as time elapsed, the male employee went in search of her but she could not have been found.
SKNVibes understands that an alarm was raised, and after searching for some time the lawnmower was found in the pond, which led to the suspicion that she might have drowned.
On arrival at the scene, SKNVibes observed the presence of members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Crime Scene and K9 Units and also members of the Coast Guard, as well as the young woman’s mother, sister and brother.
Also present was Kenneth Samuel of Kenneth Dive Center, who was in the pond in search of the woman, with the aid of breathing equipment provided by the Coast Guard.
At the time of posting this article, Samuel was still in the pond searching for the employee.
More on this tragic incident as information becomes available.
