BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SOURCES have indicated that Dwight 'Mac 11' Jacobs of McKnight is one of two victims of a shooting incident that took place in the Buckley’s area this evening (Jun. 9).
At about 10:20 p.m., SKNVibes received word that a shooting incident had taken place shortly before that time and one individual was reportedly wounded. It was however later discovered that two individuals were wounded as a result of the incident.
The information, which remains sketchy, suggested that multiple shots were fired in the vicinity of the Ground Zero Bar and that one of the injured individuals was at the JNF General Hospital undergoing emergency surgery.
It is not clear which of the victims underwent the emergency procedure and to which part of their bodies they were shot.
SKNVibes visited the Hospital and observed that it was under guard by a number of individuals dressed in army fatigue, one of whom was armed with an assault rifle.
A visit was also paid to the crime scene, where police vehicles, including that of the Crime Scene Unit, were parked in the area and it appeared as though investigations were being made.
Attempts were made to contact the Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David concerning the incident, but calls to his cell phone went unanswered.
