BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN autopsy conducted on Royal St. Kitts Golf Club employee Kishorna ‘Budda’ Challenger, whose body was recently retrieved from a pond in the Frigate Bay area, confirms that her death was as a result of asphyxia by drowning.

This is the report that was given to SKNVibes by Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David.

He informed that the autopsy was performed at the Joseph N. France General Hospital Morgue yesterday (Jun. 10) by resident pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez.

The 28-year-old, according to reports, began her duties at the golf course in Frigate Bay at about 7:30 on the morning of Monday, June 8, 2015, and at about 9:00 a.m. she could not be found.

Searches were made for her and eventually the police, Coast Guard and experienced divers were called in to search the 7th hole pond from which the lawn mower she was operating was retrieved.

Sometime after 6:00 p.m., Kenrick Davis of Prickley Pear Alley, who is an experienced golf ball collector, entered the pond and discovered Challenger’s body and it was retrieved from the water.

Since news of her demise, an outpouring of grief has hit social media, particularly Facebook, with friends and loved ones expressing their heartbreak and disbelief over the unfortunate situation.

“If I only new friday would of been the last I saw I u I would of keep u laughing all day so that friday could of last for ever…”

One of Challenger’s former classmates spoke of memories of the 28-year-old and the exchanges they shared.

“Buda I will miss u. I would see u maybe like three days a week getting off your work bus and u always hail me. I would always say to myself that blue shirt go good with your complexion. We were classmates in primary school and villagers. U never pass my straight. R.I.P Buda so sad.”

SKNVibes understands that the police are making investigations into Challenger’s death.
