BASSETERE, St. Kitts – A Newton Ground man lost his life this evening (Jun. 14) after being struck by a bus in his home village.
Details of the incident remain sketchy at this time, but SKNVibes however understands that it occurred sometime after 7:00 p.m. and the victim is one Laughton ‘Andy’ Lake.
It is also understood that he was struck by a motor omnibus that was being driven by an individual identified as ‘Baza’.
The Emergency Medical Services was summoned and SKNVibes understands that the medical technicians were unsuccessful in their attempt to revive the victim who succumbed to his injuries.
Officers from a nearby police station were summoned to the scene and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
