Bandit robs Domino’s Pizza employee

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – MEMBERS of the Criminal Investigation Department are investigating an early morning robbery that took place in downtown Basseterre and they are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrator to justice.

     

    According to a police communiqué, the robbery took place at about 12:28 yesterday morning (Jul. 29) when an employee of Domino’s Pizza and a security officer were on their way to deposit an undisclosed sum of money at the First Caribbean Bank for the business establishment.

    The communiqué stated that while the duo was on their way to the bank, they were attacked by an armed, masked individual who robbed them of the money that was in a bag.

    After relieving the duo of the bag, the robber ran across the road to Liverpool Row where he met with an accomplice in the vicinity of Lucky’s Cosmetics. He handed over the bag containing the money to the accomplice and together they ran away from the environment.

    Police described that the gun-toting bandit as fair in complexion, of medium built and was wearing a hoodie.

    They are also asking anyone who has information pertaining to this incident to contact “the CID at 465-2241, ext. 220, 230, or 231, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do not have to provide your personal information and you may be eligible to receive a reward’.
