BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FOR the past five years Kiesha Hanley has been reporting for work at Kajola Kristada and executing her duties to the best of her ability. And by her own admission, she never imagined that one day she would have been named the company’s Employee of the Month (EoM).
Her time of recognition however came recently when, in the newly-adopted fashion, she was informed that the title Kajola Kristada’s July 2015 Employee of the Month was bestowed upon her.
Hanley is a member of the Surface Mount (SMT) Line.
An unassuming Hanley told SKNVibes that she is no stranger to hard work and dedication but, even when she was made aware of her win, she still was in a state of disbelief.
“I was a bit frightened when they told me because I didn’t expect to win it. I really didn’t expect to win it! I have never won it before and did not expect that one day I would…”
The mother of three, 19,18 and one, said she had already told her children of her win and expressed that they seemed to have had more confidence in her than she had in herself.
The Shadwell resident now has boosted confidence because she was able to accomplish that which she though was impossible.
With that new-found assurance, Hanley advised her colleagues that they too could achieve that goal and even greater by applying themselves to their tasks, ensuring that they show up for work daily and putting their best foot forward.
Hanley’s Supervisor Juliana Griffin described her as one of those on whom she could always depend.
“Her performance is excellent…way beyond excellent. She is a very good worker and I can depend upon her anytime. If I call upon her, she is there. Congratulation Kiesha Hanley on behalf of the SMT Line.”
