Leadership of 10 schools changed

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TEN schools across the island began the 2015-2016 school year under new management and according to Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, “by-and-large, our teachers and our students are settling in well…”

     

    Yesterday (Sept. 10) at his monthly press conference, Prime Minister Harris detailed the changes in the top positions of each school.

     

    Confirming that which had been rumoured months prior, PM Harris indicated that Ron Collins is now Principal of the Basseterre High School with John Samuel as his Deputy.

     

    And at the Washington Archibald High School, Charisse Dolphin-Gumbs is the new Principal and her Deputy is Juan Sergeant.

     

    The Verchild’s High School also saw a change in leadership with Roger Woodley now at the helm and Lonzo Wilkerson is his Deputy.

     

    Dr. Harris informed that leadership at the Charles E. Mills Secondary School remained unchanged with Mrs. Carla Diamond as the Principal and Lester Richards as the Deputy Principal. And while the Saddlers Secondary School remains under the leadership of Adina Richards, she is now being supported by Deputy Principal Maurice Benjamin.

     

    Now managing the Bronte Welsh Primary School is Principal Virgil Jeffers and Steward Joseph is the new Principal of the Tyrell Williams Primary School.

     

    Valarie Richardson-Mason and Michelle Rochester-Woodley have both taken up positions as Deputy Principals of the Sandy Point Primary School and the Newton Ground Primary School respectively.

     

    At the Violet Petty Primary School, Dayle Phipps has assumed the position of Principal of the institution.

     

    The Cayon High School is now being headed by Francil Morris with support from his Deputy Principal Margret Hutchinson.

     

    Prime Minister Harris thanked the predecessors of each school for their service and congratulated the successors on their new appointments.
