CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – ONE man is in police custody while another is hospitalised following a three-car collision on yesterday (Apr. 17) in downtown Charlestown.

Police are investigating the bizarre incident which they say could result in charges ranging from wounding with intent, driving carelessly, causing bodily harm and driving dangerously.

According to reports, a motor vehicle with the registration number PA 5062 collided with a grey pick-up, PA 6831, and mini-bus TA 90 just outside the Court Yard Night Club.

A pedestrian, who was hit by one of the vehicles, was seen running away from the scene with driver of the vehicle in pursuit, brandishing a machete.

When police arrived on the scene they took the driver of PA 5062 into custody and the pedestrian to the Alexandra Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
