BVI, 13 October 2015 - The Honourable Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. D. Orlando Smith, OBE, met with members of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Concerned Citizens and Residents Group.
The delegation comprising Mr. Collington George, Mr. LaFonte Nibbs, Mr. Edmund Maduro, Mr. Michael Chinnery, and led by Mr. Natalio D. Wheatley expressed their concerns to the Premier about the soon to be implemented NHI.
Honourable Premier said, “I have heard the representations from the group which we will take into consideration as we progress with implementing NHI which is being put in place to ensure that all residents in the Territory has access to healthcare.”
Premier Smith welcomed the frank and candid representation of the Concerned Citizens and Residents Group.
The group thanked Honourable Premier Smith for meeting with them and for receiving the petition.
