BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHILE some were enjoying the activities which Port Zante offers on Friday evenings, others were busy executing their sinister plans, one of which resulted in a man being shot and taken to the hospital for treatment.
This publication received reports that at approximately 11:50 p.m. (Nov. 6), shots were fired near the second round-about on the western side of Port Zante and that one person was injured.
Information surrounding the incident is conflicting with some suggesting that he was shot while attempting to repair a punctured tyre on his vehicle and others suggesting that he was shot while in the bathroom of one of the bars located at Port Zante.
The victim was reportedly shot in the chest/stomach area was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via private vehicle.
SKNVibes is not certain of what time the incident was reported to the police however, having visited the scene shortly after 1:00 a.m., it was observed that officers were still processing it.
Neither the condition nor name of the victim is known to this publication at this time. However, as the information becomes available, it would be published in a subsequent article.
