Cayon man shot in Stapleton Village

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A young man said to be from Cayon was shot last evening (Nov. 19) while reportedly visiting someone in the St. Peter’s area.

Sometime after 7:00 p.m., SKNVibes received unconfirmed information indicating that an individual was injured during a shooting incident. However, there were many discrepancies in the information that was being given.

This morning, however, this publication spoke with Commissioner of Police (Ag) Stafford Liburd, who confirmed the incident and informed that it took place at about 6:45 p.m. and the victim is “Alanzo Berridge” of Upper Cayon.

Liburd informed that, just as this publication had found, the information is in some cases sketchy and discrepant in others.

He said Berridge was shot in his left foot and this publication understands that he was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via the Emergency Medical Services.

The Acting Commissioner informed that, at press time, no one had been taken into custody relative to this incident but he made an appeal for individuals with information to pass it on to the police via the nearest police station or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS).
