Police Press Release: High command hosts Commissioner's Parade and inspection of troupes

Officer’s during Commissioner’s Parade on Monday

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, December, 15, 2015 (RSCNPF): The High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), held  a ‘Commissioner’s Parade’ yesterday ( Monday, December 14), where officers and new recruits were inspected.

     

    The parade was held at the RSCNPF Training Complex and commenced at 7:15am.
     
    The Commissioner of Police (Ag), Mr. Stafford Liburd, stated that the parade was hosted to showcase the drilling abilities of the officers, and provided an opportunity for Officers to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood.  

    Division "A" Commander, Superintendent Terrance James, who served as the Parade Commander and said, “The parade was held to inspect our officers, and to also provide an opportunity to encourage them to continue their vigilance and professionalism and discipline through drills."  Supt. James added, "the Christmas and Carnival season demands a lot from our Officers, it is a time when they sacrifice a lot, including special time with their families to keep our communities safe."

    The Parade ended with the offices rendering salutes in the traditional "eyes right" march pass to the Commissioner of Police and then marching from the training complex to the Basseterre Police Station to the beat of the Police Drum Corps.  

    The Police Drum Corps is community outreach program for youth, sponsored and managed by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
