Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 07, 2016 (SKNIS): Thursday (January 07) night, marks the premiere of a 45-minute programme by the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) recapping major highlights of the government’s programme and activities from 2015.
The “Year in Review” airs on ZIZ Television at 8 p.m., and adopts a fast-paced presentation style featuring compelling video clips, and insightful narration covered by appropriate musical selections. This was done in order to appeal to viewers looking for an informative yet entertaining recap of major developments from the year past. These include the inauguration of the Government of National Unity, the opening of the new session of the Federal Parliament, the visit of His Excellency Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the payout of monies to former sugar workers, and the Independence 32 Celebrations.
Viewers will also be reminded of the impact of the 19th St. Kitts Music Festival, the 44th CARIFTA Games, and the debut of the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Twenty20 Tournament. Every major event in national security, tourism, health, education, and others were covered.
A special invitation is extended by the leadership of SKNIS, and by extension, the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, to view the programme. After its debut tonight at 8 p.m. the programme will be rebroadcast on Friday (January 08) at 1 p.m. and Sunday (January 10) at 7:30 p.m. The video will also be featured on the Government’s website www.sknis.info and posted on SKNIS’ social media accounts on YouTube and Facebook.
