BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE man who was shot last night in St. Paul’s is being treated for his injury at the JNF General Hospital and police are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing his assailant to justice.
A police communiqué issued this morning (Jan. 14) gave the victim’s name as Kishmo Carey of St. Paul’s and that the incident occurred at about 10:45 p.m. in the Rawlins Pasture area in St. Paul’s.
It also stated that initial investigations revealed that while the 24-year-old and another person were walking across a playfield in the area, an unknown assailant fired several shots at them, one of which struck Carey in his foot.
“He was transported to the J. N. France General Hospital by ambulance and is being treated for the injury sustained,” the communiqué added.
The scene was canvassed by members of the Violent Crimes Unit and Technicians from the Forensic Services Unit and investigations are ongoing.
