BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A number of individuals were rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital after an ambulance and a church bus collided today (Jan. 17) along the Island’s Main Road in Sandy Point.
The incident reportedly occurred sometime between 4:00 p.m. and 5:15p.m. and while it is unclear how many persons were aboard the vehicles, SKNVibes understands that both drivers may have been injured.
This publication is unaware of whether the ambulance was on its way to collect someone who was in need of its assistance or whether it had a patient on board when the incident occurred.
The damage caused to the church bus, which has the words “Evangelistic Faith Church” on its front and side, is extensive with a portion of its front torn from the rest of the vehicle.
The ambulance, also extensively damaged, landed on its right side during the incident.
