CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THIEVES continue to deprive residents in the Federation of their hard earned cash and valuable personal items.

Information coming out of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Public Relations Department states that early this morning (Jan, 24) three armed thieves had invaded a home in Ramsbury, Nevis and robbed the occupants of an undisclosed sum of money and a flat screen television set.

Investigations revealed that after securing their home last night, the residents went to bed and were aroused from their sleep by a noise around 2:00 a.m.

Upon investigating the source of the noise, the residents found that there were three masked men inside their residence. One was armed with a gun and the others were each armed with a knife.

They then deprived the residents of their money and the TV and made good their escape.

The scene was processed by members of the Criminal Investigations Department and the Crime Scene Unit.

    Investigations are ongoing.

Just two nights ago around 10:00 p.m. on St. Kitts, two masked men armed with handguns had robbed several persons in the Body Slam Bar in Newton Ground.

One individual reportedly suffered minor injuries during the robbery, but not gunshot, and was later treated at the Pogson Hospital in Sandy Point.

Investigations into this matter are also ongoing and police are requesting the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
