Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 25, 2016 (RSCNPF): Officers of the Old Road Police Station were out and about on Saturday (January 23) presenting food baskets to senior citizens in the Old Road, West Farm, and Lamberts Communities.
Sgt. Avalon Anthony, Officer in charge of the Old Road Police Station said, "this initiative was his Station's way of recognizing senior citizens in his area, while contributing to their well being." He added, "the initiative is also in keeping with the Community Engagement prong of the Force's Six Point Plan."
The recipients of the food baskets expressed their appreciation to the Police for the kind gesture and wished the Force well in their crime fighting efforts.
Supt. Cromwell Henry, Divisional Commander for the area also commended the officers for their initiative in coming up with this way to connect to with the community and reiterated the Police's commitment to service in the various communities around the island.
