What’s up with ‘da’?

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - FOR this week’s edition of ‘What’s up with ‘da’? SKNVibes is bringing you the ‘Club Edition’.

You know there is stuff in the club that makes you go…What’s up with that? And SKNVibes caught up with a number of people who shared some of those moments and things that happen in the club that they dislike.

We first spoke to Kerreen, who would like to know, “What’s up with smelly people putting their hands up in the air and their arm pits smell sweaty.”

A young man name Max was nowhere near laughs when he wanted to know, “What was up with some people spilling drink on others and stepping on their new kicks?”

In keeping the serious moment, Keneida said she hates people who smoke in the club…“Stinking up me clothes,” she said.

Kenrick, on the other hand, wants to know “What’s up with people taking your picture in the club? I hate that!”

A known clubber, who is referred to as BG, said he would like to know “What’s up with some DJ’s playing the same music over and over”.

Whereas, a young lady name Slims added, “What’s up with these young girls and their vulgar behaviour in the clubs and men jumping and bouncing up and carrying on like animals?”

“What’s up with some DJ’s having limited music and what’s up with people whispering in your ear with their rummy breaths?” asked an annoyed Sean.

Dwight, 33, said he is sick of some women in the club dressed to impress and don’t have any money to buy not even one drink and depending on a man to buy her one.

Sherry found it hilarious when she asked, “What’s up with people going to the clubs and don’t have any ride to get home, yet they want to be the last to leave?”

When asked the question, Sandra was quick with her answer, saying, “What’s up with these lot of children in the clubs just tangling up you foot?” She suggested that there should be an 18 and above age limit.
