Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 27, 2016 (SKNIS) -- The formal meeting of the Cabinet took place on Monday, January 25, 2016. The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris.
1. Cabinet approved concessions for four businesses.
2. Cabinet approved the restructuring and re-commissioning of the Department of People Empowerment. The department now has the additional responsibility of resettling persons from the diaspora in their homeland.
3. Cabinet discussed at length ongoing reforms in re-calibrating the Citizenship-by-Investment Programme in order that it maintains the highest standard of integrity.
