BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - NOT a mother? No problem! Next Saturday, May 9, the Good Life Entertainment will be hosting its first-ever Mothers’ Day Gala at the St. Kitts Lawn Tennis Club at Victoria Road.
This semi-casual event begins at 9:00 p.m., ends at 4:00 a.m. and will feature music by veteran deejay Ronnie Rascal while a number of prizes and give-aways will be up for grabs.
According to Sherry Nisbett, organiser of the event, the 50th mother to enter the door would receive a Chippie phone while all ladies would be given a complimentary rose.
Nisbett said that while the Gala is not just for the ladies, there would also be something special in store for the men.
“Bring your girlfriends, your moms, your sisters…it doesn’t matter if they are mothers or not. I just want people to come out and celebrate the person that gave them life or act as a motherly figure to them” she added.
She continued by saying one of the issues she has with promoting this event is that people are saying they are not mothers and this is the reason she keeps stressing the fact that one do not have to be a mother to come to the Gala.
“This is our first event and it promises to be an excited one as I want Good Life Entertainment to become a household name and be known for putting on good events” Nisbett said.
Tickets are now going at $25 or $30 at the door. This also gets you complimentary food and can be bought at J’s Shop and Save Grocery at George Street or Tony’s Liquor Centre on Wigley Avenue.
