CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - THE Nevis Philatelic Bureau has partnered with the Nevis Department of Agriculture to produce stamps that depict various aspects of the island’s agriculture sector.
Samples of the stamps were presented to Director of Agriculture Keithley Amory today (May 7) by the Bureau’s Officer-in-Charge, Patricia Blake, at the official launching ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the Bureau’s Charlestown office where Amory appealed to members of the public and visitors to Nevis to purchase the stamps at the Bureau and the post office, since if not sold they would become “dead stock”.
The stamps were described as being of a very high quality by Communications Officer of the Nevis Agriculture Department, Eric Evelyn.
