Four plead guilty in Traffic Court

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FOUR motorists who were accused of committing traffic violations appeared before the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court today (Apr. 7) where they admitted to their guilt.

     

    Andy Williams of Greenlands pleaded guilty to careless driving and was fined $450. The sum is to be paid within seven days or a one-month custodial sentence would be imposed. The offence was committed on November 10, 2015.

    Lyndon Lewis of Shadwell Estate also pleaded guilty to the offence of careless driving and was fined $1000 to be paid within six weeks or, in default, serve two months as Her Majesty’s Prison.

    Anabel Newman of Lower Monkey Hill was convicted - by confession - and cautioned for March 11, 2016 offences of driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance.

    Old Road resident Glenroy Henderson was convicted of careless driving which was committed on November 22, 2015. He was also cautioned for the offence.

    His Honour Reynold Benjamin was the Magistrate who presided over these matters.
