Local claims big $$$ from Caribbean Lottery

Claudette Brown claims her EC $30 000 prize

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Caribbean Lottery wheel of fortune has spun its way around the region and has stopped on the Federation once more, making Claudette Brown EC$30 000 richer from simply playing a few games of Doubles!

Brown, the proprietor of Queen’s A n J located on Wellington Road, had just been installed as an agent for Caribbean Lottery last Thursday (May 7) and was able to win big in her first round played last Saturday (May 9).

Speaking to SKNVibes, Senior Marketing Representative/Senior Service Technician Sherman White explained that the new game, Doubles, is a nightly draw which takes place Monday to Saturday and randomly selects and awards a lucky winner with an EC $30 000 prize every week night. He said the game is played in Barbados, USVI, St. Maarten, Anguilla and Antigua and Barbuda and added that the winning is significant since this is the first time a Leeward islander won playing this game.

“The interesting highlight about this winning is that since the game was introduced late last year, all the winners came from Barbados. Nobody at all from the Leewards won and many persons were getting frustrated and some stopped playing the games. But for the first time, a winner came from the Leeward Islands, St. Kitts-Nevis to be exact!” he said.

White said that the lucky Brown recognised that she had chosen the correct pairs of numbers after they were revealed across the region last Saturday night. He added that she immediately called him and the company verified the numbers and is now pleased to announce that the winner is a national.

“We at Caribbean Lottery are very excited! Just last month we had a winner of Caribbean Lottery coming from Nevis and now we celebrate our own. The trend is getting closer in getting home. We know there would be a boost in sales!” he stated.

White encouraged all to join the thousands of players and get a chance to win big. He said the company continues to give back, in large amounts, to the communities and to individuals who continue to play Caribbean Lottery.
