By: SKNNCC, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts - (May 9th, 2016)  -- After a rather active first quarter in 2016, the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee, (SKNNCC), continues to be an exemplary Corporate Citizen. For example, on Thursday May 5th, in celebration of Mother’s Day, the Carnival Chairman, Mr. Noah Mills, along with several Carnival Chairpersons, the reigning Ms. Swimwear, Ms. Alsanarda Hanley, plus the reigning Mr. GQ, Mr. Jevon Romney, visited the patients on the Maternity Ward at the JNF General Hospital. Each patient, Senior Nurse Bassue, as well as, the Matron, Mrs. Sonia Daley-Finley, were given Gift Baskets compliments the SKNNCC.

Mr. Noah Mills, in his presentation, noted that the Committee will continue to ensure that Carnival is celebrated all year-round and not only during the traditional December thru January months. “Also of equal importance, is the Committee’s objective to showcase Winners from Sugar Mas 44,” Mills stated.  Accordingly, Ms. Hanley and Mr. Romney, were amongst the Presentation Party, and they too greeted the Mothers and Mothers-to-be on the Ward, and presented them with Gift Baskets.

In receiving the tokens, Mrs. Daley-Finley, Sister Bassue and the 8 patients thanked the Carnival Committee for the warm and thoughtful gesture and wished them the best of luck in all their endeavours. They too commended the Committee for operating outside the customary carnival model by becoming involved in such Civic activities.
