BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 13TH 2009 (CUOPM) - Youths and Women of the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party meet in separate conferences on Saturday 16th May, ahead of Sunday’s 77th Annual Labour Party Conference.\
The Labour Women Power Breakfast and Symposium will be held on Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon at the Royal St. Kitts Marriott and Royal Beach Casino followed by the Young Labour Conference from 1 PM to 5 P.M.
Deputy Speaker of the Trinidad and Tobago House of Representatives, Hon. Penny Beckles is the guest speaker at the Women’s Conference to be attended by 300 delegates.
St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and National Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is the Featured Speaker at the Young Labour Conference at which 250 young people will participate.
Several issues affecting women and youths will be discussed by the respective conference delegates.
