BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO men are currently being treated at the Joseph N France General Hospital after they were injured today (May 18) in separate shooting incidents in Cayon and Parsons Village.

Twenty-five-year-old Vincent ‘Horse Head’ Warner of Saddlers Village was shot in the leg at about 12:50 p.m. while outside Jamaiki’s Bar in Parsons Village.

On arrival at the scene of the crime, SKNVibes was told by the daughter of the owner of the bar that while attending to customers she heard loud voices of a group of men as if in an argument.

“I was in the shop about a quarter to one when I heard loud voices speaking outside. Shortly after that I heard one shot fired and I ran for cover in the rear of the shop. After about two minutes, I didn’t hear no sound and I came out from hiding and saw a man standing at the entrance to the shop in blood. He was bleeding in the leg,” the bar attendant said.

She noted that the police arrived at the bar sometime after and was followed by a unit from the Emergency Medical Services which took the injured Warner to the hospital.

When contacted, Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Cromwell Henry confirmed the shooting incident and informed that three men had attacked Warner, “one of whom shot him in the right leg”. He also stated that two of the men had since turned themselves in to the police and are in custody assisting with investigations, but “the other suspect is still at large and is being sought”.

Meanwhile, Lanzelle O’Loughlin of Hermitage Road, Cayon was shot in the stomach at approximately 12:55 p.m. in Hermitage Estate, also in Cayon.

Inspector Henry said that the 19-year-old was shot while walking through Hermitage Estate with his cousin and the gunman immediately fled the scene after committing the crime.

No one has so far been held in relation to this particular incident but investigations are ongoing.

“Any person with information on these shootings is asked to call the St. Pauls Police Station at 465-6281 or the Cayon Police Station at 465-7258. Information received will be held in strict confidence,” Henry said.
