BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – YET another of the Federation’s young men has lost his life having fallen victim to a shooting incident that took place in Sandy Point last night (Jun. 26).
Commander of District ‘B’ Superintendent Lionel Moore told SKNVibes that the incident occurred sometime around or after 9:00 p.m. at Farm Site, but he indicated that information about exactly what transpired is not clear.
He declared his understanding that about that time a young man – Everette Thomas of Farm Site - ran to the Sandy Point Police Station with his body riddled with bullets. When he got there, he reportedly collapsed. The Emergency Medical Services was summoned and transported him to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he was taken into the theatre.
After attempts were made to keep the wounded man alive, he reportedly succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations into the incident are being made.
This marks the 15th homicide to have occurred within the Federation for the year.
