BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – THE Barbados Gospel Fest, which is currently in progress, is celebrating its 17th anniversary with not only gospel music, but also drama, dance, fellowship and much more.

According to a press release, the festival is dedicated to Barbados, the Caribbean and the international community.

The launch took place last month at the Divi Southwinds Beach Resort where sponsors, the  media, church leaders and other supporters caught a glimpse of what is in store for the 2009 festival.

The festival will feature artistes including Ian Pitter, Roger Samuels, Godfrey Birtill, RodZ, Mel Holder, Alvin Slaughter and Prodigal Son.

The release further stated that the Barbados Gospel Fest 2009 promises to deliver an exciting and inspiring programme of events for the entire family.

“We are truly blessed and we give God thanks that we have been able to mark 17 years in our quest to bring to the Barbados stage, artistes who are able to promote God’s life-changing impact in the lives of everyone who comes into contact with the festival,” the release stated.
