    Roadtown, Tortola - The Department of Human Resources will be participating in the annual BVI Music Festival celebrations scheduled for May  22-22, featuring their “HR Quest” programme.

     

    Human Resources Manager for Strategic Succession Planning Ms. Kaisa Penn told the Department of Information and Public Relations that the department participates in local festivities annually where information about the Public Service and benefits of employment are shared with interested persons, particularly Virgin Islanders and Belongers residing overseas and those who reside on island but work within the private sector. 

     

    Ms. Penn added that “The personal and contact data of persons who visit the booth of the “HR Quest” programme is entered into our talent database for reference, and possible future employment. The underlying objective being, to assist ministry and department heads with their succession planning efforts by providing them the details of qualified and talented Virgin Islanders for consideration for employment, particularly for critical, leadership and technical positions within the Public Service.” 

     

    In addition to the Music Festival celebrations the Strategic Succession Planning Unit will also be participating in the August Festival celebrations in August and at the BVI Chamber of Commerce and

    The “HR Quest” Programme is an outreach programme focused on being the link between the Public Service and Virgin Islanders residing and working outside the Territory. It was launched by the Strategic Succession Planning Unit of the Department of Human Resources in 2005.
