PM Harris to be on ‘Voices’ Talk Show tomorrow, Wednesday, then at Mcknight Community Centre town hall on Thursday

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 6th, 2016 (PRESS SEC) – The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis continues his informational outreach to citizens and residents this week with two public appearances aimed at facilitating dialogue about issues of considerable national interest. 

     

    Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris will be the special guest on WINN FM 98.9’s Voices radio program tomorrow, Wednesday, September 7th from 11:00am to 1:00pm.  Mr. Newrish Nital will interview the Prime Minister on a wide range of topics.       
    You are invited to tune in to the Prime Minister’s conversation with Mr. Nital, who will open the phone lines during the program to give listeners an opportunity to ask questions of the country’s leader.
     
    Prime Minister Harris’ scheduled appearance on WINN FM 98.9’s Voices comes two weeks and two days after he was the special guest on The People’s Voice on Sugar City 90.3 FM.  The People’s Voice, which is hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Michael Powell, airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 10:00am.
     
    Citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis will receive another opportunity to dialogue with Prime Minister Harris during a Discussions for Prosperity Town Hall Meeting at the McKnight Community Centre this Thursday, September 8th. The town hall is scheduled to start at 7:30pm.
     
    The Prime Minister’s Cabinet Colleagues who will be updating the public on matters that they have responsibility for are Premier of Nevis, Senior Minister and Minister of Nevis Affairs, Labour, Social Security and Ecclesiastical Affairs, the Honourable Vance Amory; Minister of Public Infrastructure, Posts, Urban Development and Transport, the Honourable Ian Patches Liburd, and Senator and Minister of State within the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender Affairs and Social Services, the Honourable Wendy Phipps. 
     
    Since July, the Team Unity Government has held five Discussions for Prosperity town halls, and all the Cabinet Ministers have addressed the nation and provided progress updates. The town hall meetings were held at the Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary School in Molineux (Constituency #7) on July 18th, the Newtown Community Centre (Constituency #1) on July 25th, the Sandy Point Community Centre (Constituency #5) on August 11th, the St. Peter’s Community Centre (Constituency #8) on August 16th, and the Fisherman’s Cooperative Building in Dieppe Bay (Constituency #6) on August 23rd.
     
    ZIZ Television (Channel 5) and Radio (95.9, 96.1, 96.3 and 96.9 FM) will provide live coverage on Thursday night.  The event will also be streamed online via www.zizonline.com/tv/channel-5/ and the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service’s (SKNIS) Facebook page. Members of the viewing and listening audience can phone in during the question-and-answer segment by dialing 1(869) 466-5795.
